i kinda miss this place to be honest. i check in every once in a while to see what's been sizzling but haven't been active in a long time. i realized i owe a lot to this site and i'm pretty happy that certain people have "left their mark" rather than delete it once they decided not to post anymore. it's still quite inspiring to read through, even four years after i first found it and i find that quite amazing.

hope to get a bit more involved again because this really was -- and i'm sure it still is -- an awesome community of artists. i just went through my gallery and fine-tuned the selection a bit and also submitted a few pictures from new york city from the summer.

i'm gonna look around a bit and check out what people have been doing next week when i have some more time.

just finished eating some amazing chicken fajitas which is my favorite food at the moment. and i realized i have ten rolls of 35mm and two rolls of medium format film to develop and scan. but first i have to do an online test to prove to my school that i am capable of using the darkroom since they had ventilation issues last semester and this is their "safety" precaution. kind of funny.

it's pretty phenomenal that i've been a member of this site since i was in like grade eight. and now i'm about to graduate university. wow...

anyways, i'm looking forward to getting back into it a bit when i have some time.

UPDATE: thank you to !bdwfh for the dd and to !kyle28 and *PEN-at-Work for suggesting my photo. it was a very pleasant surprise in the morning when i woke up to a larger-than-normal number in my message box. it's a great welcome back to dA.

i tried my best to respond to all of the comments and i thanked everyone individually who devwatch'd or fav'd multiple of my photos because it means they went through my gallery and i appreciate that... that's the whole beauty of getting something like a dd. also shout out to dasha aka ~dashabrusenskaja for her thoughtful comments. it's nice when people really make critiques of the work and give insightful thoughts! also, it seems as though i've found dA's "jackass" yeller from happy gilmore... shout out to ~skakid85xxx for making me laugh. i think he should be a comedian!! and thanks to ~giratinium for defending me and my work, even though ~skakid85xxx was just playing. and lastly, shout out to *Juliabohemian for being concerned about the kid in the photo.
